In the summer of 2019, my 2007 Subaru Outback broke down while I was going to college, and like many other college students I had barely any money. So, I decided to get a temporary job that didn’t interfere with my class times which as you can probably guess was a painting job. The person that hired me was a great boss that taught me to be disciplined in hard work and in quality. Not only did he require it but also the builders he worked for required it which is how they won many Fall Festivals of Homes Awards. This job that was meant to be temporary turned out to be very influential to me and helped me form a lot of my opinions about my life.

After trying my best to learn how to paint, a couple months into the job my boss came up to me and told me that he appreciated that I was a hard worker and told me to keep it up. And that's when I realized….. that my dedication to a job satisfying a person's needs to the fullest is what drove me to keep going. It wasn't about the biweekly pay or the car I was eager to fix, but about a person being happy with the quality of work that I provide whether it’s my boss or a customer.

So, when I realized that there wasn't anything in school that I was interested in I decided to open up my license and try this business thing for myself. Turns out I really enjoyed it and had no regrets not going to school. And, if you’re wondering where that Subaru went then we are on the same page because I sold it broken to a mechanic since the cost to fix was more than what the car was worth.
